Richard
Charette was born in Quebec
(Canada) and served with the Royal Highland Regiment (Black Watch)
of Canada for 5 years. Richard left the
Canadian Army as a Lieutenant in 1994 after serving on different UN & NATO operations. He then moved to California to work as a Senior Project Manager in the IT industry. Richard is a competing
piper (Grade 3) and is currently the official piper of The Royal Canadian Legion (San Francisco Branch), The Queen's Club (military organization for retired officers
of the Commonwealth's and US armies) and the Fremont Police Department. Richard volunteers his time to pipe
for the Scottish American Military Society (SAMS) for servicemen/women on a regular basis.
